Colin Ray is a newly appointed adjunct associate professor at UCPH FOOD

Appointment

The University of Copenhagen has appointed Colin Ray as an adjunct associate professor in "Dairy Ingredients and Functionality" at the Department of Food Science (UCPH FOOD).

Colin Ray has extensive experience from the food and pharmaceutical industries as well as the university world. His research focuses on elucidating the chemical mechanisms that affect dairy components during sustainable processing resulting in over 30 published articles, book chapter and patents. He has previously supervised or co-supervised MSc and PhD students and also a postdoc while section leader at Department of Food Science at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH FOOD). He currently co-supervises a PhD at UCPH FOOD.

At the University of Copenhagen, Colin will contribute with his extensive knowledge of sustainable innovation and act as a guest lecturer and co-supervisor of students in the master's programme in food science (the specialisation in dairy technology).

On a daily basis, Colin works as Senior R&D Manager at Discover R&D, Arla Foods Ingredients.
