The seeds of the future are sprouting at KU FOOD
Significant increase in applicants for the Bachelor's programme in Food Science and Nutrition
At KU FOOD, we are happy to announce that we are ready to welcome a new batch of green minds entering the Bachelor’s programme in Food Science and Nutrition.
- Around 60% increase in applicants in total for Kvote 1 + 2
- More than 70% increase in Kvote 1 applicant compared to last year
The entire staff at KU FOOD is looking forward to receiving the new students who want to be part of cultivating a sustainable, healthy, and delicious future.
“We are delighted to offer an attractive framework for young people’s focus on and desire to produce tasty, nutritious food in a sustainable way for the future. It is wonderful that the Food Science and Nutrition programme is experiencing such significant growth. There are certainly many reasons for this increase, but we are extra happy because we have worked hard to raise awareness of the programme," says Head of Department, Colin Ray.
The need for this exact expertise has never been greater:
"Food science plays a critical role in solving global challenges like climate change and food security. Denmark and indeed the world needs excellent food scientists, and this is reflected in the exciting career paths we see our graduates taking. We are very pleased with the trust shown by the new students and look forward to welcoming them here to FOOD,” says Colin Ray.
The greenhouse is ready, and we cannot wait to help these new talents grow.
