Associate Professor
ORCID: 0000-0002-7754-7720
Åsmund Rinnan is an associate professor at the department of food science, and part of the chemometrics group.
The section is one of the largest chemometrics groups in the world, and as such, are publishing articles with a high impact worldwide.
Primary fields of research
Åsmund is applying and developing chemometric tools to solve real world problems. The current research is focused on:
- Multi-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy
- Multiway model development for fluorescence
- Understanding the effect of correlated references on the subsequent model
- Applications of chemometrics to solve practical problems
Teaching
Åsmund Rinnan is responsible for the course Exploratory Data Analysis/ Chemometrics. In addition he gives lectures at several other course.
