New Professor of Sustainable Food at KU FOOD
We welcome Marianne Thomsen, who is employed as a Professor in Sustainability Assessment, Sustainable Food Processing and Production at UCPH FOOD.
Marianne Thomsen has a broad ecological and environmental systemic understanding of sustainability, including food production. She has a large national and international network and is a popular partner when it comes to Sustainability Assessment. She will be part of various collaborations here at UCPH FOOD with special focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and already teaches at two master's courses with us: "Foods based on plants, algae and fungi" and "Sustainable Innovation in Food Science".
Marianne comes from a position as a professor at the Department of Environmental Science at Aarhus University.
The employment of Marianne is an upgrade of the department's knowledge of sustainable food production and we are very much looking forward to the collaboration.
Marianne will take office on January 1, 2022.
