My great interest is in preclincal research and biomedicine, primarily in vivo modelling. Currently, I evaluate the role of growth factors in a pig model mimicking premature infants with a focus on the pathophysiology of the gastrointestinal tract. During my PhD study period I did research in inflammatory bowel diseases using the IL-10 k.o. mouse model – both the spontaneous and the piroxicam-accelerated.

My education, previous and current work and international travels, e.g. to Oxford and Liverpool University, have given me in-depth knowledge and interest in immunology, inflammatory processes, drug development and biomedical research as well as experience and skills in working with laboratory animals and standard immunological assays like FACS, ELISA and histological analysis.
