Jakob Lund Laugesen
Design and Consumer Behavior
1958 Frederiksberg C
Jakob Laugesen is educated engineer within physics and holds a phd in modelling of nonlinear dynamical systems. A large part of his study has focused on modelling of biological systems and in the field of bifurcation theory. During his PhD study he was part of BioSim (European Network of Excellence), a highly interdisciplinary network between physicist, engineers, pharmacists and medical doctors. More recent Jakob have become more interested in sensory science, electrophysiology and experimental design and practice, sensory analysis and data-analysis. A large part of mathematical modelling is to locate and understand (biological) mechanisms and put it into mathematics. This form a way of thinking that conforms well with many sciences including those taking place at the SCS group. The past collaborations with the SCS group, KU, have produced two papers and three posters.
Primary fields of research
- Neurophysiology and cognitive neuroscience.
- Electroencephalography (EEG), signal analysis and data analysis.
- Experimental design, data-collection methods and sensory analysis.
