Helene Scott-Fordsmand

I am an affiliated researcher at Medical Museion with a background in philosophy.

In October 2021 I defended my PhD dissertation 'Encounters with the unruly: Reflections on epistemic aspects of the abject and out-of-place in medical practice', suppervised by Karin Tybjerg, Ken Arnold, and Anette Stenslund. The dissertation was written while I was a PhD student at Medical Museion and The Centre for Medical Science and Technology Studies (MeST).

From 1 May 2022 I start the postdoc project: "Diagnosing bodies in a messy reality: an ethnographic philosophy of scientific taxonomy, medical practice, and epistemic iteration" at Department of history and philosophy of science, University of Cambridge. The project is financed by the Carlsbergfoundation.
