FOOD hosted the world's largest conference on NIR Spectroscopy

Professor Søren Balling Engelsen from the University of Copenhagen (FOOD) has just hosted a great international conference in Bella Center, Copenhagen: The 18th International Conference on Near-Infrared Spectroscopy - ICNIRS 2017.

More than 500 delegates met in Copenhagen for a four-day conference under the theme "NIR Spectroscopy at Work in Industry". Prior to the conference, there was a two-day pre-conference course program at the Department of Food Science regarding the use of NIRS. Professor Søren Balling Engelsen and his section Food Analytics and Biotechnology led the conference. At the conference, Professor Søren Balling Engelsen was also elected as a new President Elect for the International NIRS Society (ICNIRS).
